Nut Butter Chicken Salad Wrap – Food for Age Spots
Want to spice up your go-to chicken salad sandwich, with skin-brightening benefits to boot? Try this peanut buttery chicken salad sandwich instead! It includes sunflower seed butter, which boats some of the highest concentrations of vitamin E, a vitamin necessary for healing everything from acne scars to sun spots from the inside out. The sandwich also has high protein grilled chicken, important for cellular growth, and is served in a whole wheat wrap, which is rich in skin-saving selenium. This unique take on your traditional chicken salad sandwich may just be your new go-to favorite – or at least your skin’s new favorite.
Ingredient: Serve 2
2 teaspoon honey
2 tablespoons sunflower seed butter
2 tablespoon mayonnaise
8 ounces chicken, grilled and cubed
1/2 Fuji or Gala apple, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1/2 cup red grapes, halved
2 whole wheat wraps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, sun flower seed butter, and mayonnaise, stirring until smooth. Add the chicken, apple, celery, and grapes.
- Divide between the whole wheat wraps, wrap, and serve immediately.
If you prefer to prepare this ahead of time, keep fruits separate until immediately prior to serving, to prevent the salad from getting watery.
Most of the age spots reducing vitamins – namely vitamin A and E – are fat-solube, meaning you need to eat them with at least a little bit of fat for them to do their age-spot-reducing work.
