Topical remedies for red, itchy, bloodshot eyes are all about soothing, calming, and depuffing. With cafeine, riboflavin, and more, these topical remedies rely on foods like cooling cucumbers, tightening egss, depuffing dairy, and anti-inflammatory Indian gooseberry, take your eyes from red, ithy, and puffy to calm, cool, and collected.
Black tea, with caffeine to constrict blood vessels and tannins to reduce puffiness, reduces redness, and revives exhausted eyes when applied topically. Add honey to hydrate and sooth and these tea cubes are a quick and easy solution for puffy eyes. If you’re an allergy sufferer, make a larger batch and keep this in the freezer all season long.
Here are what you needs:
1 cup water
4 bags caffeinated black tea
2 tablespoon honey
Bring water to boil. Remove from heat and add the tea bags
Steep for 30 minutes, using a spoon to squeeze the tea bags every 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags, again squeezing the bags to extract as much tea as possible.
Stir in the honey.
Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze.
Once frozen, pop out 2 cubes, run them briefly under water to ensure they’re wet and don’t stick to your skin, and rub them over and under your eyes for 15 minutes.
