Next time you make eggs for breakfast, don’t toss the eggshells so quickly. Instead, use the remaining egg whites lining the shell to tighten the skin around your eyes, not only reducing puffiness, but also temporarily reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Just a thin layer of the gel-like egg whites dries to firm fine lines and wrinkles while simultaneously hydrating tired eyes and reducing the appearance of under-eye puffiness. The effect are temporary, but the result speak for themselves, especially before a big event or on a morning when it seems as if those crow’s feet had a bit of a growth spurt overnight.
1 egg white , raw (or a leftover shell)
After cracking an egg, wipe your finger along the inside of the shell.
Dab a thick layer of the raw egg white under and around the eye, avoiding the eyelid and being careful not to get raw egg in your eye.
Let the egg white fully dry, about 15 minutes, before rinsing off with lukewarm water. Follow with the eye cream, if desired.
Note: if you apply a thin layer you can leave the mask on all day underneath your eye makeup. Just be careful to check sporadically for unfortunate cracks. That’s never a good look!
